LET'S MAKE A MILLION MASKS

In partnership with Just One More Ministry

In an effort to help with the COVID-19 pandemic, a company we know (they make sanitizing wipes and other related things) has partnered with other Wisconsin companies/organizations and will provide materials for us (volunteers) to make medical masks at home. Their goal is to make over 1 million masks to distribute to health care workers.

The company providing the materials have partnered with JUST ONE MORE MINISTRY who will organize our volunteer effort to make the masks. Here is a brief description of Just One More:

Just One More Ministry (JOMM) began in 2008 as a small and informal food recovery program founded by Chris Capper working with Meal Outreach Ministry at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa.  The food rescue program grew from a humble beginning of rescuing one box of bread and donating it to a central city church, into its current form rescuing and repackaging prepared food, fresh produce, and bakery from numerous Milwaukee suppliers and redistributing it to over 75 Greater Milwaukee inner city churches, food pantries, and organizations serving the homeless, poor, women, children, elderly and veterans.

If you would like to participate, we ask that you visit the JOMM website at this address: http://www.jomministry.org/masks   On this web page you can read how the sign-up process will work, as well as learn the basic guidelines. JOMM volunteers can deliver the materials to your door, or pick the kit up at JOMM

We appreciate all that you have done with our Food Packs and I urge you to participate in this urgent matter.

God Bless,
